What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL DALE ROAD, SWANLAND (PART) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Dale Road, Swanland (between 31 and 43).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed new gas service to number 39, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 September 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via the remainder of Dale Road, Northfield and Main Street, Swanland.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence on Monday 8 September 2025, and continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
