Gerrards Cross, Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath For Failed Bridge Works

What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Footpath No. 2, Parish of Gerrards Cross) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of GEC FP 2 & Amersham Road and continues east for approximately 200 metres.

There is no alternative route.

The closure is required in the interest of public safety due to a failed bridge. The Order will come into operation on 5 September 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
