High Street, Bdeford - No Stopping on School Entrance Order

What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO STOPPING ON SCHOOL ENTRANCE MARKINGS ON HIGH STREET, CLOPHILL
Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic
and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and For facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians). More specifically the waiting restrictions are intended to address indiscriminate parking in the vicinity of St Marys C of E Lower School to create a safer environment for those travelling to and from school.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Clophill:-
1. High Street, south side, from a point in line with the eastern flank wall of No. 98 High Street and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 17 metres (ending in line with the double yellow lines on the opposite side of the road).
To introduce No Stopping on School Entrance Markings from Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 4.30pm on the following length of road in Clophill:-
1. High Street, south side, from a point approximately 19 metres south-west of the centre of the junction to St Marys C of E Lower School and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 43.5 metres.

Please note that any comments received will be redacted of personal information and uploaded onto the Central Bedfordshire Council website as part of a report on the scheme a few days before the proposal is discussed at the relevant Traffic Management Meeting, where it will remain in the public domain. If you do not wish for your comments to be part of the report please state this explicitly within your response.
