Peebles, Temporary No Waiting Restrictions Due To Resurfacing Works

(VARIOUS ROADS, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Peebles) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 5 September 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:00 on 10 September 2025. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the following roads in Peebles:

(i) South Parks – from junction with South Park Crescent to Caledonian Road;

(ii) Caledonian Road – from junction with South Parks to outside ‘Glenburn’; and

(iii) Edderston Road – from junction with Caledonian Road to number 3 Edderston Road.

A convoy system will also be in place to control vehicular traffic. A map showing the restriction can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk
