(A726 (GSO) WESTBOUND – BELLE CRAIG ROUNDABOUT TO MAIDENHILL INTERCHANGE) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2025

On the 25 August 2025 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to prohibit vehicular access on a section of A726 (GSO) Westbound from Belle Craig Roundabout to Maidenhill Interchange, including the slip roads at Mearns kirk Interchange, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried out overnight from Friday 5 September until Thursday 11 September 2025, between 8PM and 6AM.

The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.

Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.

Alternative route: B767 Eaglesham Road/Glasgow Road – Waterfoot Road – Mearns Road – E a g l e s h a m Road – A77 Ayr Road.
