Peebles, Temporary Road Closure & Parking Prohibition For Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(KINGSMEADOWS ROAD, PEEBLES) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

The Scottish Borders Council (Kingsmeadows Road, Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 1 September 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 4 September 2025, as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7062 at Kingsmeadows Road, Peebles between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 each day. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Kingsmeadows Road, Tweed Bridge, A72 and B7088 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along the B7062 at Kingsmeadows Road from Victoria Park Day Centre to the junction with Kingsmeadows Gardens between the hours of 08:00 and 15:00 each day.
