(Chichester: Orchard Gardens)
(Prohibition of Driving) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, made a permanent Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit driving (except for access to/from residential addresses) between 0800 and 0900 hours and between 1430 and 1600 hours, Monday to Friday on Orchard Gardens to form a School Street.

The Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 4 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.          Ref: TTRO-2507-MM

(Petworth: Public Footpath No. 3523)
(Temporary Closure No. 2) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 3523 from its northern end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 662 (grid reference 498394.083, 121177.463), southwards to its junction with Public Footpath No. 2894 (grid reference 498394.337. 120658.098), a distance of approximately 600m.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a large tree damaging a bridge.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and will last for 6 months.

(Bosham: Public Footpath No. 230)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 8 March 2025, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will now continue in force until 8 September 2026 or until the footpath is safe to reopen.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a section of sea wall having been washed out by coastal erosion undermining the footpath.

The effect of the Order remains unchanged and is to prohibit any person from proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 230 from its northern end at its junction with the A259 Main Road (SU804052), southwards to its junction with Public Footpath No. 2824 (SU804045), a distance of approximately 850m. Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

(Chichester: A286 Stockbridge Road)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close the A286 at the railway level crossing.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway junction and traffic signalling improvement works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or≈after 22 September 2025 and will take 7 weeks to complete.

(Linchmere: Public Footpath No. 1242)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 1242 Linchmere, from its western end at its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1221 (487990,131220), eastwards to its junction with Marley Lane (488709,131119), a distance of approximately 750m.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electric cabling works are undertaken.

Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Footpath is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC in exercise of its powers under Section 46A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the Charges and Tariffs detailed in the WSCC (Chichester District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2010, (as amended).

Permit charges in the Bognor Regis Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) will be increased as follows:

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the WSCC (Arun District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2010 will remain in force.

(Felpham: Limmer Lane and Adjoining Roads)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close roads in Felpham as follows:

LIMMER LANE from Tryndel Way to Summerley Lane;
SUMMRLEY LANE from Limmer Lane northwards for 50m;
SOUTHVIEW ROAD from Limmer Lane southwards for 25m.

These road closures are needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and remain in force until 20 October 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
