What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

HIGH NORTHGATE WEST BACK, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

HIGH NORTHGATE WEST BACK

From the southern boundary of 95 High Northgate northwards to its junction with McNay Street

An alternative route will be signed via Arthur Street, Station Road, McNay Street and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works by Northumbrian Water to renew a sewer.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 29?? September 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 4 weeks.
