THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL'S TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:-
The Isle of Wight Council (Marvel Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that at all times between Monday 8th September 2025 and Friday 19th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Marvel Lane, Newport. From its junctions with Watergate Road and its junction with Copse Lane.
The alternative route will be signposted locally.
The closure is required for safety during Bridge Maintenance.
The Isle of Wight Council (Arthur Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Tuesday 9th September 2025 and Thursday 11th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Arthur Street, Ryde. From its junctions with King Arthur Close and its junction with Mount Street.

This closure is required for safety to support Temporary Traffic Lights on West Street, Ryde.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Wednesday 10th September 2025 and Friday 12th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bath Road, Cowes. From its junctions with High Street and its junction with Bars Hill.

From its junctions with Marine View Close and its junction with Baring Road.

From its junctions with Cycle Track from Sandown to Newport and its junction with School Lane.

From its junctions with Clatterford Shute and its junction with Access Road 37.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Monday 8th September 2025 and Wednesday 10th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bowcombe Farm Lane, Newport. From its junctions with Bowcombe Road and its junction with Newport Bridleway 101.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Tuesday 9th September 2025 and Thursday 11th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Combley Road, Havenstreet. From its junctions with Gravelpit Lane and its junction with Great Briddlesford.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one weeks between Monday 8th September 2025 and Friday 12th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Longwood Lane, Lake. From its junctions with Lower Road, for a distance of 85 metres in a southernly direction.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one weeks between Wednesday 10th September 2025 and Friday 12th September 2025, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed into or park in Car park Quay Road, Ryde. From its junctions with Quay Road, and its junction with Esplanade.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Monday 8th September 2025 until 0600 hours on Friday 12th September 2025, or when the works has been completed. Parkhurst Slip Road, Newport will be closed between its junctions with Forest Road and its junction with Parkhurst Road, Newport.

(Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 07:30 hours on Monday 8th September 2025 and 18:00 Monday 13th October 2025, or when the works has been completed, there will be a one-way restriction introduced along Holyrood Street, Newport, between its junction with High Street and its junction with Lugley Street.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2025.
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 08:00 hours on Monday 8th September 2025 until 08:00 hours on Wednesday 17th September 2025, or when the works has been completed, High Street, Cowes, will be closed between its junctions with Sun Hill and its junction with The Arcade, Cowes.

The Isle of Wight Council
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 5th September 2025 and Friday 17th October 2025 the following roads will be closed between 19:30 and 06:00 hours for a period of approximately one to 5 nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and lining works, and any associated pre works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

(Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2025 - Fairlee Road, Newport - for its entire length.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 5th September 2025 and Friday 17th October 2025 the following roads will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 01 to 15 days/ nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance and lining and investigation works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 07:00 hours until 18:00 hours on Sunday 7th September 2025, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along North Walk, between its junctions with Esplanade and its junction with Canoe Lake Road.
The closure is required for safety during the Classic Car Show.

The Isle of Wight Council (Canoe Lake Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 07:00 hours until 18:00 hours on Sunday 7th September 2025, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner.
a) the one-way restriction will be revoked along Canoe Lake Road between Esplanade and North Walk;
b) a 'No Waiting at Any Time' parking restriction will be introduced along Canoe Lake Road, on the south side, between Esplanade and North Walk. No person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along Canoe Lake Road between its junctions with Esplanade and Canoe Lake Road.
These restrictions are required for safety during the Classic Car Show.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 07:00 hours until 18:00 hours on Saturday 6th September 2025, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Newport Quay, Newport, between its junctions with Sea Street, Newport, and its junction with Seaclose, Newport.

The Isle of Wight Council (Hale Common, Arreton, Isle of Wight)
(Temporary 40 MPH Speed Restriction) Order No 1 2025
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 00:01 hours on Friday 29th August 2025, for a period of 18 months, a 40mph speed restriction will be introduced along A3056 Hale Common, Arreton, between a point 155m south-east of Bathingbourne Lane and a point 185m north-west of Winford Road.
The current 50 mph speed restriction will be revoked whilst the temporary signage is in place, for the duration of this order.
The restriction is required to improve road safety for the area.
