What is happening?

(Colgate & Crawley: A264 Crawley Road: Tough Mudder)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to:-

(i)  prohibit vehicles travelling eastbound on the A264 Crawley Road from making a right turn at the Kilnwood Vale roundabout junction; and

(ii) prohibit vehicles from driving at a speed of more than 40mph on a section of the A264 Crawley Road (Westbound) between Horsham Road Roundabout and a point 400M west of the Crawley Road Roundabout.

The Order is necessary to facilitate safe access and egress for the event traffic whilst maintaining through traffic flows on the A264.

The Order will be operative from 0600 hours on 20 September 2025 until 2100 hours on 21 September 2025.

(Slaugham and Balcombe: High Beeches Lane/

High Street (B2110)) (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact a

recently installed new 40 MPH speed limit on High Beeches Lane/High Street, from its junction with London Road (B2114) at Handcross, north-eastwards to its junction with the B2036. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 8 September 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post. Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 4 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.                                           Ref: MDS2409-MM

((Mid Sussex District) (Parking Places & Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No.2) Order 2006)

(Haywards Heath: Gander Hill and Sunnywood Drive Amendment) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a

permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic

regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact

recently installed parking restrictions prohibiting waiting at any time throughout the northern side of Gander Hill in Haywards Heath between its junctions with Sunte Close and Gander Green and a single yellow line prohibiting waiting 9am to 10am and 1pm to 2pm Mon-Fri on the southern side of Gander Hill east of Summerhill Close.

The Order also reduced a length of double yellow lines on the eastern side of Sunnywood Drive, opposite its junction with Drummond Close.

(Ashurst Wood: Various Roads)

(20 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent

Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act

1984, the effect of which will be to enact recently installed 20 MPH Speed limits on the following roads in Ashurst Wood throughout their entire lengths unless otherwise stated:

Allen Close, Beeches Lane from Woods Hill Lane northwards for 30m, Chapel Lane, Hammerwood Road from Lewes Road to 20m west of Yewhurst Close, Ivy Dene Lane from Woods Hill Lane northwards for 110m, Maypole Road from Hammerwood

Road to the East Sussex County boundary, Park Lane, Phoenix Lane, School Lane, Wall Hill Road from Hammerwood Road southwards for 195m, Woods Hill Close, Woods Hill Lane, Wray Close and Yewhurst Close.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 8 September 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. (30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed 30 MPH speed limit on Fox Hill (B2112) in Haywards Heath from its junction with Hurstwood Lane southwards to the East Sussex County Boundary.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 8 September 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

(East Grinstead: Oakfield Way)

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on both sides of Oakfield Way in East Grinstead throughout its entire length.

This restriction is needed to allow large vehicles to access a construction site safely.

The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force for up to 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(East Grinstead: Public Footpath 1hEG/1)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 1hEG/1 in East Grinstead from its junction with Oakfield Way eastwards and southwards throughout its entire length.

The closure of this footpath is needed to maintain public safety while a property development is constructed on adjacent land. The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and remain in force for six months, after which an extension may be necessary.

During the operative periods of this Order pedestrians will be directed to alternative routes via Elizabeth Crescent.

Notice of Variation: On-Street Parking Charges 2025 Mid Sussex District

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC in exercise of its powers under Section 46A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure)

(England and Wales) Regulations 1996 proposes to vary the

Charges and Tariffs detailed in the Second Schedule of the WSCC (Mid Sussex District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No.2) Order 2006.

The Permit charges in the East Grinsted Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) will be increased as follows:

The new charges shown above will come into operation from 1 October 2025.

This Notice only applies to the charges above and in all other respects the provisions of the WSCC (Mid Sussex District) (Parking Places and Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation No.2) Order 2006 will remain in force.
