What is happening?
ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL
U144B - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (U144B Old Banff Road – 05.09.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 05.09.25 for 6 days and will prohibit any person from driving on the U144B Old Banff Road from the B9031 junction to access
road to Mounthooly.
Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to works being carried out for a telecoms company An alternative route is available via the B9031 to B9032, B9032 to U145B and U145B to U144B and vice versa.
