What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
(ST JAMES ROAD/BACK VICTORIA STREET)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of St James Road from its junction with Victoria Street to Great Albion Street for a distance of approximately 13 metres. Back Victoria Street to become one way from its junction with Pellon Lane for a distance of 81 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with
works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. For alternative route follow diversion on site.It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(TANHOUSE HILL, HIPPERHOLME)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Sapphire Utility Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Tanhouse Hill from its junction with Halifax Road to Tanhouse Park for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point.
The alternative route is via Halifax Road, Leeds Road, Godley Lane, Godley Road, New Bank, Listers Road, Shibden Hall Road, Halifax Old Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 21st September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(SADDLEWORTH ROAD, BARKISLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Saddleworth Road
from 50 m west of Wood End Lane to 250m east of Barsey Green Lane for a distance of approximately 130 metres.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The
alternative route is via New Hey Road, Stainland Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 8th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works
may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 8th September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 16:30.
(HANSON LANE, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Hanson Lane from its junction with Albert Street to Horne Street for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Horne Street,
Pellon Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily
during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.
(WESTERCROFT LANE, NORTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Westercroft Lane from No. 29 to Lumbrook Mills for a distance of
approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Brighouse and
Denholme Gate Road, Halifax Road, Bradford Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed
sooner and the road re-opened on 15th September 2025.
The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(GREEN LANE, WEST VALE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Green Lane from Long Heys to No. 116 for a distance of approximately 65 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is unaffected part of Green Lane, Long Heys and vice versa.
It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 11th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 6th October
2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(NELSON STREET, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Nelson Street from side of 28 Clifton Street to side of 1 Exeter Street for a distance of approximately 28 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the
emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Park Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(OAK LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Oak Lane from junction with Mill Bank Road/Dean Lane to Lower Deerplay Farm for a distance of approximately 254 metres.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via the unaffected part of Oak Lane, Oak Hill, Rochdale Road, Halifax Road, Royd Lane, Stony Lane, Soyland Town Road, Foxen Lane, Lower Mill Bank Road, Mill Bank Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd September
2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 24th October 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(PINNAR LANE, SOUTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Future Network Solutions intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Pinnar Lane from junction with Law Lane to Cain Lane for a distance of approximately 740 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Law Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road
re-opened on 22nd September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00.
(VICTORIA ROAD, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Centurion Traffic Management intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Victoria Road 20m either side of Railway Bridge FHR6/2 for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for
the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Park Road, Oak Avenue, Ferney Lee Road, Burnley Road, Victoria Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 25th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 26th September 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 22:00 & 05:00.
(CROWN STREET, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Crown Street from its junction with Broad Street for a distance of approximately
17 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is
maintained to closure point. For alternative route follow diversion on site. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th September 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 9th December 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
