Eastgate, North Newbald (Part) - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Culvert Works

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC EASTGATE, NORTH NEWBALD (PART)

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Eastgate, North Newbald (between Beck Farm, 22 Eastgate and Bridge Haven, 14 Eastgate) commencing Monday 22 September 2025 to allow culvert works to take place between these locations. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 October 2025.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Eastgate, Townend Road, Burgate, The Green, Ratten Row, Newbald.

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. 

Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents access and emergency services only.
