(Prohibition Of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 19th August 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Act, Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General Nature And Effects Of The Order: Will be to impose a Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles on The Poplars, a new road, in Stubbington. This will also revoke and reinstate the existing order The Borough of Fareham (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1981 with no change of substance save for the above.
Date Of Operation: The order will come into force on Saturday 30th August 2025.

(i) Stubbington Library, Stubbington Lane, Stubbington, Fareham, PO14 2PP (Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday & Friday: 09.30 - 17.00; Saturday: 09.30 - 13.30).
(ii) Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices Customer Services, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ (Opening hours: Monday to Friday 08,45 - 17.15).
(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 - 5.15; Fridays 8.30 - 4.45).
(iv) Copies of the order as made, plan and statement of reasons can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk, or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Universal Services, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A2065/MJB.
Application To The High Court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Friday 10th November 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
