What is happening?

SHEFFIELD CITY COUNCIL
(BRINCLIFFE) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 4 September 2025 Sheffield City Council made the above Order which comes into operation on 8 September 2025 under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the whole or on parts of Agden Road, Bank Close, Barker’s Road, Bluecoat Rise, Briar Road, Brincliffe Crescent, Brincliffe Gardens, Brincliffe Hill, Cavendish Road, Chelsea Court, Chelsea Rise, Chelsea Road, Cherry Tree Drive, Cherry Tree Road, Clifford Road, Edgebrook Road, Huntingdon Crescent, Kenbourne Grove, Kenbourne Road, Kenwood Avenue, Kenwood Bank, Kenwood Park Road, Kenwood Road, Kingfield Road, Ladysmith Avenue, Lyndhurst Road, Machon Bank Road, Meadow Bank Road, Moncrieffe Road, Montgomery Avenue, Montgomery Drive, Montgomery Road, Osborne Close, Osborne Road, Priory Avenue, Priory Place, Priory Road, Priory Terrace, Psalter Lane, Raven Road, Rundle Drive, Rundle Road, Ryle Road, Sharrow Lane, Sharrow View, Smeaton Street, St Andrews Close, St Andrews Road, Thornsett Road, Union Road, Violet Bank Road, Williamson Road, Wostenholm Road.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the enabling Act or that a requirement of the enabling Act or any of the relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within six weeks of the 8 September 2025 make application for that purpose to the High Court.
