Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Lincoln Road, Werrington, Peterborough Ref: 26-115
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Lincoln Road, Werrington, as lies between Sharma Leas and Southwell Avenue. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Davids Lane, Paston Parkway Roundabout 22, Fulbridge Road, The Green, Church Street and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 11/09/2025 and will continue until the defect rectification works have been completed or until the 10/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 11/09/2025 and the 15/09/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Tallington Road, Bainton, Peterborough Ref: 26-114
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Tallington Road, Bainton, as lies between Meadow Gate and Bainton Village Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bainton Road, Tallington, A1175 Main Road, Deeping Road, Tallington, Deeping Road, Uffington, Barnack Road, Uffington, Uffington Road, B1443 Bainton Road, Barnack, Station Road, Barnack Road, Bainton, and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/09/2025 and will continue until the new water mains connection works have been completed or until the 09/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 10/09/2025 and the 12/09/2025. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bretton Gate, Bretton, as lies between Carvell Close and Soke Parkway Roundabout 16 A47. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: A47 Soke Parkway, Soke Parkway Roundabout 17 Eastbound Off Slip, Soke Parkway Roundabout 17, Gresley Way, Gresley Way Roundabout 62, Bretton Gate and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/09/2025 and will continue until the lining, gully cover and frame works have been completed or until the 07/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 08/09/2025 to the 09/09/2025. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The proposed order will come into force on the 08/09/2025 and will continue until the A47 resurfacing works have been completed or until the 07/09/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 08/09/2025 to the 12/09/2025. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough Temporary 30 and 40 30 and 40mph Speed Restriction Order 2025 – Bukehorn Road and
The Reaches, Thorney Ref: 26-121
The effect of which is to impose on 1) Bukehorn Road, a 30mph speed restriction for 300m east of The Reaches, preceded by a 40mph speed restriction for 150m in both directions, and 2) The Reaches, a 40mph speed restriction for 150m south of Bukehorn Road.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 16 September 2025 and will continue until the access for pipe laying works have been completed or until the 18 September 2026, whichever is the earlier.

The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is noted in the schedule. The proposed Order will come into operation on 15/09/2025 and will continue until the slurry seal surfacing works have been completed or until the 14/03/2026, whichever is the earlier. Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 26-120 2025 Ref: 26-120
The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Barnack Road, Bainton, as lies between Badminton Lane and Station Street.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: B1443, Stamford Road, Walcot Road, Main Street, Marholm Road, Stamford Road, King Street, B1443 and vice versa.
This notice is made in the interest of cut & patch and lining works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 08/09/2025.
The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: B1443, Stamford Road, Walcot Road, Main Street, Marholm Road, Stamford Road, King Street, B1443 and vice versa.
