(FREE PARKING PLACES) (PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES) (AMENDMENT No. ) ORDER 202

DISABLED PERSONS PARKING BAYS VARIOUS STREETS THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The principal objective of the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order is to introduce a number of parking places for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult.

  3. The Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order will introduce a parking bay for disabled persons’ vehicles, operating “at any time” in the following streets:

  • Edward Road, Hampton Hill

  • Meadway, Twickenham

  • Percival Road, East Sheen

  • Railhead Road, Twickenham

  • Railway Road, Teddington

  • Rectory Grove, Hampton

  • Sheen Road, Richmond

  • St Winifred’s Road, Teddington

  • Stanmore Gardens, North Sheen

  • Stretton Road, Ham

  • The Hermitage, Barnes

  1. Copies of further particulars giving details of the scheme: –

    (a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/151 at the

    Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at:

  2. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Head of Engineering, Traffic and Parking Policy, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date by giving the grounds of their objection. Representations may also be sent by email to TrafficOrders@richmond.gov.uk

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Riverside, Twickenham

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial water works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Riverside, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Riverside, Twickenham from outside Riverside House, westwards for a distance of 44 meters to outside Woodcut.

  3. The order will come into effect on 08 September 2025.

    These works are anticipated to be in progress from 08 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES

(SPECIAL EVENTS) (VARIOUS STREET PARTIES) (NO. 7) ORDER 2025

(Reference 25/147)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 26 August 2025 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets to allow residents to celebrate a special event within their communities.

  3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closures will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

  4. Copies of the Order:–

    (a) can be inspected until 31 December 2025, quoting Reference 25/147 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

    (b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:
