What is happening?

(Crawley: Hawth Avenue)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than seven days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Hawth Avenue Northbound and Southbound between Haslett Avenue East and Hawth Avenue Roundabout junction.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst railway bridge maintenance works are undertaken.

The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed. The works are expected to be completed by 10 October 2025.

Any queries about the works to take place or the effect of the

(Colgate & Crawley: A264 Crawley Road: Tough Mudder)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to: -

(i)  prohibit vehicles travelling eastbound on the A264 Crawley Road from making a right turn at the Kilnwood Vale roundabout junction; and

(ii) prohibit vehicles from driving at a speed of more than 40mph on a section of the A264 Crawley Road (Westbound) between Horsham Road Roundabout and a point 400 metres west of the Crawley Road Roundabout.

The Order is necessary to facilitate safe access and egress for the event traffic whilst maintaining through traffic flows on the A264.

The Order will be operative from 0600 hours on 20 September 2025 until 2100 hours on 21 September 2025.

(Crawley: Tinsley Lane)

(Daytime Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Tinsley Lane between Gatwick Road and Maxwell Way.

The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electrical cabling works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 8 September 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed. The works are expected to commence on or after 8 September 2025 between 0800 hours and 1800 hours daily and should be completed by 3 November 2025.

(Crawley – Ifield: Shipley Road & Southwater Close)

(Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, WSCC, made a

permanent Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit driving (except for access to/from residential addresses) between

0800 and 0900 hours and between 1430 and 1600 hours, Monday to Friday on lengths of Shipley Road and Southwater Close to form a School Street.

The Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive a copy by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 3 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
