ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Footpath Closure

PROW No. 138 Pelton Passage, Richmond

(Ref. 25/145)

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Electrical works they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a Footpath Closure in a length of the PROW No.138 Pelton Passage, Richmond.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person may proceed in PROW138, Pelton Passage, from the junction with Sheen Road and the junction with Kings Road.

  3. The order will come into effect on 01 September 2025. And will be in force at all times from 01 September to 05 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months.

  4. An alternative route for persons affected by the closure will be available via Sheen Road and Kings Road.

  5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, Fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure

Various PROW Footpaths in Bushy Park

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate The Royal Parks various improvement works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of pedestrians in the following locations listed in Paragraph 2.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall enter the following Pedestrian park gates the footpaths at the following gates will be closed:

    • Hampton Court Gate, Teddington Gate

    • Church Grove Gates, Gate, Shaef Gate

    • Sandy Lane Gate, Barrack Gate

    • Hampton Gate, Hampton Hill Gate

    • Hampton Hill New Gate, Blandford Road Gate

    • Laurel Road Gate, Clapperstile Gate

    • Cobblers Road Gate

    • PROW 215 – Dukes Head Passage Gate & Hampton Wick Gate

  3. The order will come into effect on 01 September 2025, these night works are anticipated to be in progress between the hours of 22:30–08:00 from 01 September – 10 October 2025 and 22:30–08:00 from 03 November – 12 December 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 6 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, Fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Charles Street, Mortlake

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary prohibition of traffic in Charles Street, Mortlake.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Charles Street, Mortlake from the junction with White Hart Lane to the junction with Cross Street.

  3. Whilst Charles Street, Mortlake is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Cross Street, Thorne Street, White Hart Lane and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 08 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 08 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Maze Road, Kew.

  2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Maze Road, Kew at the junction with Forest Road.

  3. Whilst Maze Road, Kew is closed, an alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Forest Road, Priory Road, Maze Road and vice versa.

  4. The order will come into effect on 10 September 2025. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 September to 12 September 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

  5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

Temporary Waiting Restrictions

Third Cross Road, Twickenham

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to remove obstructive parking and due to the likelihood of danger to the public, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Third Cross Road, Twickenham.

  2. Whilst the Order is in effect, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand at any time in Third Cross Road, on the south-west side, from a point 2 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 50/52 and 54/56 south-eastwards for a distance of 28 metres.

  3. The order will come into effect on 28 August 2025. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months.

  4. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

  5. Nothing in the Order applies to:

    (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

    (b) anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

    (c) any vehicle being used for Police, Fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

  6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
