WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS – ELCHO STREET SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict pedestrian movement in Elcho Street to facilitate installation of a Hoarding.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no pedestrian shall enter, proceed or walk along the Eastern footway, Elcho Street outside 1-4, between junction of Parkgate Road and the junction of Hester Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 9 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 8 July 2027.

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make an order to restrict vehicular movement in Grayshott Road to facilitate Thames Water utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Grayshott Road from the junction with Elsley Road to the junction with Glycena Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 3 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 12 September 2025.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Eland Road from the junction with Elsley Road to the junction with Heathwall Street. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION – GARRATT LANE SW18

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Garratt Lane to facilitate Thames Water utility works.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place on Garratt Lane the southbound cycle lane will be suspended from the junction with Della Street to the junction with Treport Street. There will be no waiting 08:00-17:00 Saturday & Sunday only.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 6 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 14 September 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE – THURLLEIGH ROAD SW12

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth has made an order to restrict vehicular movement in Thurlleigh Road to facilitate a Crane operation.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no vehicle shall enter, proceed or wait along Thurlleigh Road from the junction of Gayville Road and the junction of Devereux Road. There will be no waiting at any time.

  3. Whilst the order remains in force the alternative route for traffic affected by the closure will be appropriately signed.

  4. Further information may be obtained from the Council’s Network Management section – telephone number (020) 8871 6904.

  5. The order will come into operation on 02 September 2025 and will remain in place until the works are complete. The order will remain in place for no longer than 18 months, although the works are expected to be complete by 8 September 2025.

Proposed Zebra Crossing and Minor Parking Changes

WEBB’S ROAD, SW11

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to establish a zebra crossing in Webb’s Road, Webb’s road

The crossing will be situated adjacent to Nos. 70 and 72 Honeywell Road, in Webb’s Road. The control area will be from a point outside the southern boundary of No. 72 Webb’s Road, south-eastwards for a distance of approximately 38 metres.

  1. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in pursuance of Sections 6 and 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make certain changes to parking bays around the new zebra crossing in Webb’s Road as proposed by the Wandsworth (Clapham Junction) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 202 and the Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No.) Order 202.

    The general effect will be to remove 5 parking places in the vicinity of Honeywell Road.

  2. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.

  3. Any person wishing to make a comment about the proposals should send a statement in writing to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below no later than 21 days after the date of this Notice.

PROPOSED MINOR PARKING AMENDMENTS MONTSERRAT ROAD, SW15

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 51 of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004:

  • The Wandsworth (Putney) (Parking Places) (No. ) Order 202;

  • The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. ) Order 202;

  1. The general effect of the Orders would be: to remove 1 metre of parking bay outside No. 38A Montserrat Road and to extend and upgrade to double yellow lines (“no waiting at any time”) the waiting restrictions between the parking bays on the north-eastern side of Montserrat Road, between No. 38 and 38A Montserrat Road.

  2. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders.

  3. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection to the Director of Environment and Community Services at the address below within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
