What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(VEREY ROAD, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Verey Road, Dunstable.

This temporary closure is required to enable micro asphalt surfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 26 September 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Eyncourt Road.

The Order will come into operation on 24 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(WINDSOR DRIVE, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Windsor Drive, Houghton Regis from 100 metres south of Longbrooke.

This temporary closure is required to enable installation of zebra crossing and associated work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 26 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Sandringham Drive, Park Road North, Park Road, Parkside Drive and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 8 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PEDLEY HILL, STUDHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pedley Hill, Studham at the junction with B440.

This temporary closure is required to enable tree felling work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 25 September 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Clements End Road, Dunstable Road, B4540, Dagnall Road, Dunstable Road, B440  and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 23 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CLARKES WAY, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Clarkes Way, Houghton Regis.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 25 September to 17 October 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PIPERS LANE, ALEY GREEN)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the entire length of Pipers Lane, Aley Green.

This temporary closure is required to enable drainage improving works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 September to 7 November 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Dunstable Road, Millfield Lane, Pipers Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(SUNDON ROAD, CHALTON AND SUNDON ROAD, SUNDON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sundon Road, Chalton and Sundon Road, Sundon from the roundabout to approximately 50 metres past Lodge Farm.

This temporary closure is required to enable engineers access to boxes and duct for cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 23 September 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Manor Road, Streatley Road, Sundon Road, Church Road, Barton Road, New Bedford Road, Telford Way, Dunstable Road, Oakley Road, High Street, Grange Avenue, B579 and Sundon Road. The Order will come into operation on 22 September 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
