Baker Street - Street Parking Places Notice
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.100) ORDER 2025.
NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 1st September 2025 made the above Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The Order will come into effect on 10th September 2025. The effect of the Order will be to introduce a provision for limited waiting free parking for 2 hours with no return within 1 hour on Baker Street (from its junction with Strathmore Avenue to a point outside property No.76 Baker Street), May Street and Cambridge Street (from its junction with New Town Street to its junction with Baker Street). These three roads are within Controlled Parking Zone (PT), the controlled parking zone on these three roads are in operation between 8am and 6pm on Monday to Saturday inclusive.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers contained in the above Act or any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
