What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 PART OF
FEOFFEE COMMON LANE, BARMBY MOOR

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along part of
Feoffee Common Lane, Barmby Moor from its junction
with A1079 York Road northbound to the access of
Duck Wing Park commencing 25 September 2025
between 09.30 hours until 15.30 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Feoffee Common Lane, Barmby Moor providing
a safe working space for engineers to access telephone
poles in order to provide fibre overhead cabling works,
to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within
six hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the Order is via Feoffee Common Lane, Sand Lane,
A1079 Hull Road and A1079 York Road, Newton
on Derwent CP, Barmby Moor CP, Wilberfoss CP,
Pocklington Provincial Ward. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
The Order will commence 25 September 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
