Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Ardley, Somerton Road
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 25/8/2025
Coming into force: 5/9/2025
This Order is being introduced because of Gigaclear fibre cabling works which are anticipated to take until 18/9/2025 to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Somerton Road from outside Ardley House to Outside Quarry Cottages.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Church Road, Station Road, Fritwell Road, East Street, North Street, Ardley Road and Vice Versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16160/RMF)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Kidlington, St Mary’s Church Footpath 265/19/10
Date of Order: 25 August 2025
Coming into force: 1 September 2025
This Order is being introduced because of resurfacing works which is anticipated to be completed on 31 October 2025.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily that part of St Mary’s Church Footpath 265/19/10 running northwards from the east side of the church. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for Works.
The alternative route will be signed to the west. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T16259/RMF)
