THE OLDHAM AREA CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROHIBITION OF WAITING & DISABLED BAYS AMENDMENT ORDER 2025
The Oldham Borough Council on 29 th August 2025 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit waiting at all times on:-
Oldham on the south side of Crompton Street 14 metres east of Rochdale Road to 7 metres east of Bradford Street and on both sides of Bradford Street from Crompton Street for 10 metres southerly.
Derker Barry Street - East side From Huddersfield Road to Pennant Street and West side Huddersfield Road to 38 metres north of its junction with Back St James’s Street, Temple Street - South side from Barry Street for 23 metres easterly and North side from Barry Street for 29 metres easterly, Back St James’s Street - North side from Barry Street for 6 metres westerly and South side from Barry Street for 10 metres westerly & Pennant Street - South side from Barry Street for 23 metres easterly
Greenacres Greenacres Road - South side 10 metres east of its junction with Constantine Street to a point 7 metres west of Constantine Street & South side from a point 10 metres east of Galland Street to 10 metres west of Galland Street & South side from 10 metres east of Oberlin Street to 10 metres west Oberlin Street & North side from 10 metres Walnut Avenue to a point 10 metres west of Walnut Avenue & Walnut Avenue - Both sides from Greenacres Road for 10 metres northerly & Oberlin Street - Both sides from Greenacres Road for 10 metres southerly & Galland Street - Both sides from Greenacres Road for 10 metres southerly
And introduce 24 hour disabled bays;- Seville Street Shaw - at the side of 59a Manchester Road, and Oldham - 58/60 Hollinhall Street, 35 Colwyn Street, 64 Copsterhill Road, 188 Frederick Street & 65 Raper Street
The Orders will come into operation on 5th September 2025.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date hereof apply to the High Court for the purpose.
