Bradford, Amendments To Waiting, Loading & Parking Restrictions

What is happening?

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

(WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.7) ORDER 2025

VARIOUS ROADS IN CRAVEN, ILKLEY, KEIGHLEY & WORTH VALLEY

NOTICE is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 26 August 2025 under powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which is to -

A. In Craven:

  1. Introduce "no waiting at any time" on lengths of the following roads:

    Belton Rd; St John’s St; St John’s Close; New Close Ave; Church St; Stone Grove; Wayside Mews; Green Ln; and Elliot St;

  2. introduce "no loading Mon-Fri 8-9am and 2.30-4pm 1 Sept-31 July" on lengths of Banklands Ln and Hawber Cote Ln – a change from the current no loading restrictions that operate during the same periods save that the afternoon hours begin at 3.00pm; and

  3. remove a disabled person’s parking bay from Williams Rd.

B. In Ilkley:

  1. Introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads:

    Bridge Ln; Crossbeck Rd; East Parade; South Parade; Brookfield Court; Wheatley Ln; Grove Rd (shown on 2 separate plans); Langbar Rd; and New Brook St;

  2. reduce a length of permit parking on Grove Rd; and

  3. reduce a length of a pay and display parking bay on New Brook St.

C. In Keighley:

  1. Introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads:

    Beeches St; Nare’s St; Braithwaite Rd (shown on 2 separate plans); Carlton Gardens; Mariner Rd; South St; Spring Gardens Ln; Thwaites Brow Rd; Beechwood Ave; Rosewood Ave; Kirkstall Gardens;

    Dawson Rd; Woodhouse Drive; Woodhouse Rd; Wheathead Lane;

    St Mary’s Rd; Unity St; Ilkley Rd; Long Lee Ln; Cleny Tree Rise;

    Moorview Grove; Darr Ln; Stockbridge Wharf; Canal Rd; Low Mill Lane; Halstead Close; Byre Way; Wheathead Ln; Exley Drive; Exley Ave; Exley Way; Broomhill Ave; Weston St; Malsis Rd; Oakworth Rd;

    Nashville Rd; Eelholme Rd; Rydal St;

  2. remove a length of “no waiting at any time” from Parson St;

  3. introduce “no waiting limited Mon–Sun 7am–10am Max Stay

    3 hours” on lengths of Mariner Rd;

  4. introduce no waiting Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm” on a length of Devonshire St; and

  5. remove a disabled person’s parking bay from Highfield Ln and from a point on Westburn Ave.

D. In Worth Valley:

  1. Introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads:

    A629 Halifax Rd; Station Rd; Vale Mill Ln; Long Acres; Haworth Rd;

    Alison St; Gordon St; Cecil St; Nares St; Providence Ln; Providence Crescent; Victoria Rd; Dean St; Sunbridge Drive; Cole Rd; and Acre Ln.

The Order comes into force on 1 September 2025. A copy of the Order together with documents that give more detailed particulars may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY; Keighley Town Hall, Bow Street, Keighley, BD21 3PA; or Ilkley Library, Station Road, Ilkley, LS29 8HA. If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of

that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (i.e. from 26 August 2025) apply to the High Court for such purposes.
