What is happening?
CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
(WAITING LOADING AND PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION)
(AMENDMENT NO.7) ORDER 2025
VARIOUS ROADS IN CRAVEN, ILKLEY, KEIGHLEY & WORTH VALLEY
NOTICE is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 26 August 2025 under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which is to –
A. In Craven:
introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads:
Bolton Rd; St John’s St; St John’s Close; New Close Ave; Church St; Stone Grove; Wayside Mews; Green Ln; and Elliott St;
introduce “no loading Mon-Fri 8-9am and 2.30-4pm 1 Sept-31 July” on lengths of Banklands Ln and Hawber Cote Ln – a change from the current no loading restrictions that operate during the same hours and also serve the afternoon hours again at 3.00pm;
remove a disabled person’s parking bay from Williams Rd.
B. In Ilkley:
introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads: Bridge Ln; Crossbeck Rd; East Parade; South Parade; Birchwood Court; Wheatley Ln; Grove Rd (shown on 2 separate plans); Langbar Rd; and New Brook St;
reduce a length of permit parking on Grove Rd; and
reduce a length of pay and display parking bay on New Brook St.
C. In Keighley:
introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads: Eagle St; Stave Pk; Braithwaite Rd (shown on 2 separate plans); Carlton Gardens; Mariner Rd; South St; Spring Gardens Mount; Thwaites Brow Rd; Beechwood Ave; Rosewood Ave; Kirstall Gardens; Dawson Rd; Redcliffe Drve; Woodhouse Way; Bradford Rd;
St Mary’s Rd; Utley St; Ilkley Rd; Long Lee Ln; Cherry Tree Rise; Moorview Grove; Barr Ln; Stockbridge Wharf; Canal Rd; Low Mill Lane; Hayfield Close; Brier Way; Wheathead Ln; Exley Drive; Exley Ave; Exley Way; Brookhill Ave; Westbn St; Malis Rd; Oakworth Rd; Nashville Rd; Fell Ln; Ryhill St;
introduce “no waiting at any time” from Parson St;
introduce “no waiting Mon-Sun 7am - 10pm 1 hour, no return within 3 hours” on lengths of Mariner Rd;
introduce “no waiting Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm” on a length of Doubler Stones Rd;
remove a disabled person’s parking bay from Highfield Ln and from Westburn Ave;
D. In Worth Valley:
introduce “no waiting at any time” on lengths of the following roads: A629 Halifax Rd; Station Rd; Vale Mill Ln; Long Acres; Haworth Rd; Albion St; Gordon St; Strel St; Nates St; Providence Ln; Providence Crescent; Victoria Rd; Dean St; Sunhurst Drive; Colne Rd; and Acre Ln.
The Order comes into force on 1 September 2025. A copy of the Order together with documents that give more detailed particulars may be examined during normal office hours at: the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY; Keighley Town Hall, Bow Street, Keighley, BD21 3PA; or Ilkley Library, Station Road, Ilkley, LS29 8HA. If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order is made (i.e. from 26 August 2025) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
