Northumberland, Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C341 GREAT WHITTINGTON TO DEWLAW, GREAT WHITTINGTON AND C341 DEWLAW TO MATFEN, MATFEN

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 15th September 2025 until the 3rd October 2025

Road Closures:

  • C341 Great Whittington to Dewlaw, Great Whittington for its entire length.

  • C341 Dewlaw to Matfen, Matfen for its entire length.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 15th September 2025 until the 26th September 2025 and that the roads will be closed at all times, during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 3rd October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C341, C342, C340, C222, C224 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Alncom to install fibre cables. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8114 BROOMLEYFELL PLANTATION JUNCTION TO BROOMLEY JUNCTION RIDING MILL

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8114 Broomleyfell Plantation Junction to Broomley Junction Riding Mill from its junction with the C279 Hindley to High Shilford heading in a south westerly direction for a distance of 567 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 21st November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd September 2025 until the 24th October 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U8114, A68, C273 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by United Living to install a new water main in the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U9022 MILITARY ROAD JUNCTION TO MATFEN JUNCTION CORBRIDGE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9022 Military Road Junction to Matfen Junction Corbridge from its junction with the B6318 Military Road for a distance of 3500 metres in a northerly direction in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 8th September 2025 until the 8th March 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th September 2025 until the 12th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 8th March 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6318, C342, C341, U9022 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

A695/C255 MULTIPLE ROADS PRUDHOE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic in the following sections in the County of Northumberland:

  • A695 Between Mickley And Prudhoe from its junction with B6395 Prudhoe Bypass To Beaumont Terrace heading in a north eastwards direction for a distance of 1191 metres.

  • A695 Princess Way from its junction with Prudhoe Town Tynedale District Footpath 075 heading in a westward direction for a distance of 130 metres.

  • C255 Station Road from its junction with U8276 Castle View heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 247 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2025 until the 10th November 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2025 until the 5th September 2025 the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 10th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C255, C254, C301, B6317, A695, B6395 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

An alternative route to gain access to A695 Princess Way being via C255, C254, C301, B6317, A695 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for civils, resurfacing and kerb works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C302 PARK ROAD AND U7069 GREENCROFT AVENUE, HALTWHISTLE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in Haltwhistle in the County of Northumberland:

  • C302 Park Road from its junction with U7069 Greencroft Avenue heading in a westward direction for a distance of 457 metres.

  • U7069 Greencroft Avenue from its junction with C302 Park Road heading in a northward direction for a distance of 27 metres.

The Order is to be effective from the 3rd September 2025 until the 4th February 2026.

It is expected that C302 Park Road will only be closed from the 17th September 2025 until the 26th January 2026 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th February 2026.

It is expected that U7069 Greencroft Avenue will only be closed from the 3rd September 2025 until the 23rd September 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th February 2026.

An alternative route for U7069 Greencroft Avenue will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C302, U7069 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

An alternative route for C302 Park Road will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C302, B6318, B630, A69, B6322 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks for gas pipe replacement works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
