What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF NORTH TYNESIDE 

DUDLEY AND WALLSEND, NORTH TYNESIDE
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic:

DUDLEY
on Ford View. 
There is no alternative route however access to be given to residents/refuge when possible. 
The proposed temporary Order is required to relay a sewer and to construct a manhole and will come into force on 29 September 2025 for a period not exceeding 6 days.

WALLSEND
on Elton Street East from the junction with Station Road to outside number 26/28 Elton Street East.
An alternate route is available via Station Road, High Street West, West Street, Elton Street West, Elton Street East.
The proposed temporary Order is required to safely situate a crane to lift pre-cast concrete floor planks. 
This is in relation to the construction of new apartments. 
The Order will come into force on 25 September 2025 for a period not exceeding 2 days.
