Warwickshire, Warwick/Semele/Leamington Spa - Traffic restrictions to allow for th proposed works.

What is happening?

Warwickshire County Council

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

D41930 CHURCH STREET, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from Northgate Street to A429.

Reason for Order: Maintenance of block on road and associated works 09.30hrs-15.30hrs.

Order Commences: 6 July 2025 for up to 18 months. Unfortunately, these works were delayed but are now rescheduled to 7 September 2025.

Access & Diversion: Old Square, New Street, Market Place, Market Street, Bowling Green Street, A429. Please note there are restrictions on road being closed and part of the diversion route for vehicles over 7.5t or long vehicles. Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

D48630 LEWIS ROAD, RADFORD SEMELE

Order Effect: Road Closed to vehicular traffic from A425 to Hatherell Road.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 09.30hrs-15.00hrs weekdays only.

Order Commences: 5 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 8 September 2025. Access & Diversion: Hatherell Road, School Lane, A425 and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

NELSON LANE, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for new water connections.

Order Commences: 3 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 5 September 2025.

Access & Diversion: Nelson Lane, Coventry Road, Coten End, Emscote Road, Charles Street, Wharf Street and vice versa. Contractor: Network Plus, Tel: 01332 820 920.

FOSSE WAY, OFFCHURCH

Order Effect: A 50 mph Speed Limit will be imposed on Fosse Way, Offchurch from a point 30 metres north of the roundabout at junction of Long Itchington Road and a point 639 metres north of the Long Itchington Road roundabout. Reason for Order: In connection to the HS2 works to build new structure.

Order Commences: 4 September 2025 until such time as the works have been completed and this Order has been revoked or until the aforesaid works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

SCAR BANK, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. Reason for Order: Works to enable the installation of new telegraph pole.

Order Commences: 1 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 5 September 2025.

Access & Diversion: No diversion available. Contractor: WHP, Tel: 01787 237 509.

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

C58 CLARENDON STREET, LEAMINGTON SPA Order Effect: Road closed between Regent Grove and Warwick Street/Willes Road.

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing works, closed 08.00hrs-17.00hrs.

Order Commences: 15 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 19 September 2025.

Access & Diversion: Clockwise: B4099 Willes Road, Brandon Parade, Hamilton Terrace, Holly Walk and Regent Grove. Anti-clockwise: Regent Grove, Brandon Parade and Willes Road. Vehicular access & egress will be maintained where possible and safe to do so for businesses and residents only.

D45770 PLYMOUTH PLACE, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between Farley Street and Forfield Place.

Reason for Order: Drainage and associated works, 09.30hrs15.30hrs.

Order Commences: 15 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 16 September 2025. Access & Diversion: Forfield Place, Russell Terrace, Farley Street and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

D51070 ROOKERY LANE, ROWINGTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic between Preston Road and Henley Road.

Reason for Order: Carriageway patching and associated works, 08.00hrs-16.00hrs.

Order Commences: 15 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 15 September 2025. Access & Diversion: Preston Road, Henley Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Balfour Beatty, Tel: 03452 415 302.

SOUTHAM ROAD, LADBROKE ROAD, BANBURY ROAD

AND SOUTHAM BYPASS, SOUTHAM – 30 MPH SPEED

RESTRICTION

Order Effect: A 30mph speed restriction will be imposed on Southam Road, Ladbroke Road, Banbury Road and Southam Bypass, Southam along their entire lengths.

Reason for Order: For the safety of all road users during construction of new bridge, HS2 works.

Order Commences: 15 September 2025 until such time as the works have been completed and this Order has been revoked.

Contractor: For HS2, EKFB, Tel: 08081 434 434.

LEYCESTER PLACE, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. Reason for Order: Works to enable the disconnection of a gas service.

Order Commences: 15 September 2025 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 19 September 2025. Access & Diversion: High Street, Back Lane, Castle Lane, West Street and vice versa.

Contractor: Cadent Gas, Tel: 08001 119 999.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

THE WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS,

ON STREET PARKING PLACES & RESIDENTS’ PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION) (VARIATION NO. SKC01) ORDER 2025

Warwickshire County Council have made the above-named Order, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to vary the existing Warwickshire County Council (District of Warwick) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places & Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (as varied) as described in the Schedule below. The Order will commence on the 1st September 2025.

A copy of the Order, together with a copy of the Order to be varied, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, are available to view at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, and online on the Council’s website at https:// www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwick-district.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that is not within the power conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
