Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Ebdon Road, Wick St Lawrence, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 31 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-136

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide fibre overhead cabling for a new customer connection. This order will become operative on the 31 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm only. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Banwell Road, Hutton Hill, Hutton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 8 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear fibre blockages. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Banwell Road and Hutton Hill in phases from the side of 27 Banwell Road to Hutton Hill opposite 1 The Crescent.

Barton Road, Winscombe, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide overhead cabling. Footpaths Associated Bampton and Blackmoor, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 8 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-080

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace 262.88m of old metallic gas mains with 262.88m of new plastic mains and renew/transfer approximately 43 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 53 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpaths Associated Colyton, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 8 September 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon works by Wales & West Utilities to replace 45.72m of old metallic gas mains with 45.72m of new plastic mains and renew/transfer approx. 4 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
