Holyoake Street, Temporary Road Closure Due To Cabling Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parish of Wellington Temporary Closure of Holyoake Street
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Holyoake Street - from the junction with Station Road to the junction with Seymour Street. A total distance of 267 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out cabling works.
The Order becomes effective on 11th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 10th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days.
