What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

THANET AREA

B2052 Stone Road, Broadstairs, CT10 3NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2052 Stone Road, Broadstairs, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 99, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2052 Stone Road, B2052 North Foreland Road, B2052 North Foreland Hill, B2052 Joss Gap Road, B2052 Kingsgate Bay Road, B2052 Whiteness Road, B2052 George Hill Road, B2052 Northdown Park Road, B2052 Millmead Road, B2052 College Road, A255 St Peters Road, B2052 College Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A255 Boundary Road, A255 Hereson Road, A255 Ramsgate Road, A255 Queens Road, B2052 High Street, B2052 Albion Street, B2052 Nelson Place and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Addington Road, Margate, CT9 1RB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Addington Road, Margate, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Victoria Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Addington Road, Addington Street, Dane Road, Victoria Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hardres Street, Ramsgate, CT11 9TF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hardres Street, Ramsgate, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hardres Street, Broad Street, Church Hill and High Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Marlborough Road, Ramsgate, CT11 9BY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marlborough Road, Ramsgate, on or after 24th September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 10 Flat 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marlborough Road, Vale Square, West Cliff Road, Queen Street, Elms Avenue, Carlton Avenue and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sussex Gardens, Birchington, CT7 9SN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sussex Gardens, Birchington, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sussex Gardens, Lincoln Gardens, Rutland Gardens, Kent Gardens and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Victoria Road, Broadstairs, CT10 2SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Victoria Road, Broadstairs, on or after 24th September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 26, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Westbrook Avenue, Margate, CT9 5DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Westbrook Avenue, Margate, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 19 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Rancorn Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Rancorn Road, Westbrook Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road, St Mildreds Road, Westgate Bay Avenue and Westbrook Avenue.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Westbrook Avenue, Westgate Bay Avenue, St Mildreds Road and A28 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
