What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
Hearts Delight, Borden, ME9 8JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hearts Delight, Borden from 23rd September 2025, with estimated completion by 27th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between number 4 and Brierley, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Borden Lane, Homewood Avenue, Park Road, Gore Court Road, Woodstock Road, Tunstall Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Iwade Road, Newington, ME9 7FE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Iwade Road, Newington from 9th September 2025, with estimated completion by 11th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Church Lane and Oak Manor, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via School Lane, Boxted Lane, Breach Lane, Forge Lane, The Street, Sheerness Road, Basser Hill, Iwade Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Lower Road, Tonge, ME9 9BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Tonge, from 23rd September 2025, with estimated completion by 26th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Fairview, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hempstead Lane, A2 London Road, Station Road, Lower Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Meresborough Lane, Hartlip, ME9 7TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Meresborough Lane, Hartlip, from 25th September 2025, with estimated completion by 28th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Dane Lane and Charcon House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spade Lane, A2 London Road, Mill Lane, The Street, Place Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Oak Lane, Minster-on-sea, ME12 3QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Minster-on-sea, from 22nd September 2025, with estimated completion by 28th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Arcadia, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Old House Lane, Hartlip, ME9 7SR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old House Lane, Hartlip, from 22nd September 2025, with estimated completion by 24th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Eastfield, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bull Lane, Cowstead Road, Lower Hartlip Road, Old House Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Otterden Road, Eastling, ME13 0BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Otterden Road, Eastling, from 8th September 2025, with estimated completion by 11th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Dunstall House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Otterden Road, The Street, Eastling Road, Stalisfield Road, Hart Hill, A20 Maidstone Road, Ashford Road, Hubbards Hill, Warren Street, Bunce Court Road, Otterden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Pett Lane, Bredgar. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pett Lane, Bredgar, from 11th September 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Oad Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oad Street, Sittingbourne Road, South Green, Pett Road, Pett Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Vincent Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 4JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025
To allow resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Vincent Road, Sittingbourne from 25th September 2025, with estimated completion by 1st October 2025, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 on weeknights only, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Keswick Avenue, Woodberry Drive, Murston Road, A2 Canterbury Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
