SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1113 THE STREET, REDGRAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1113 The Street, Redgrave from Broadlands for 100 metres north westbound to facilitate excavation works to repair a manhole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, the A1066, the A140, the A143, the B1113 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 29/08/2025 - 5am on 30/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C549 LOW ROAD, WORTHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C549 Low Road, Wortham from the Piggeries to Manor Cottage to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the Doit, the A1066, the B1113, Fen Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 29/08/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U2412 BRIDGE STREET, KELSALE CUM CARLTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2412 Bridge Street, Kelsale cum Carlton from 30 metres east of the junction with Church Lane for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate sewer repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the Theberton Road, Clay Hills Road, the B1121 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 12/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE B1113 BRAMFORD ROAD AND THE C496 IPSWICH ROAD, CLAYDON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • the B1113 Bramford Road, Claydon from the roundabout with the A14 at the junction with the B1113 for 180 metres eastbound

  • the C496 Ipswich Road, Claydon from the Bramford Road roundabout for 70 metres eastbound.

This is to facilitate drainage and maintenance works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. the A14 southbound to junction 53, Bury Road, the A14 northbound to junction 52 and no vice versa

  2. the A14 northbound to junction 51, Norwich Road, Coddenham, the A14, Old Norwich Road, Norwich Road, Ipswich Road and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 13/09/2025 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1118 CHURCH ROAD, WILBY ROAD

AND WOOTEN GREEN, WILBY AND STRADBROKE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • B1118 Church Road, Wilby from the junction with Worlingworth Road to Wilby Road

  • B1118 Wilby Road, Wilby

  • B1118 Wooten Green, Wilby

  • B1118 Wilby Road, Stradbroke.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1117, the B116, the B1118 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 09/09/2025 from 10am - 3pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U5800 RAVENSWOOD AVENUE AND NACTON ROAD FOOTWAY, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following footways in the following phases:

  1. the U5800 Ravenswood Avenue, Ipswich from Nacton Road for 35 metres south westbound

  2. Nacton Road Footway, Ipswich from Ravenswood Avenue to the pedestrian crossing point on Nacton Road.

This is to facilitate excavation for ducting and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Ravenswood Avenue, Nacton Road Footway, Ransomes Way, Nacton Road Footway, Bluestem Road, Nacton Road Footway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  1. 08/09/2025 - 12/09/2025

  2. 15/09/2025 - 19/09/2025.

    If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C331 The Street, Rushmere St Andrew from no. 15 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate sluice valve works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Playford Road, Woodbridge Road East, Colchester Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 08/09/2025 from 9.30am - 3pm.

THE U4401 LITTLE BRAMFORD LANE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4401 Little Bramford Lane, Ipswich from 80 metres west of the junction with Wellington Street for 30 metres westbound to facilitate a stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Wellington Street, Bramford Road, Chevalier Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 08/09/2025 8am - 5pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2811 FOX LANE, DARSHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2811 Fox Lane, Darsham from 70 metres south of the junction with The Street for 75 metres southbound to facilitate the replacement of an electrical cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Low Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 13/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF

7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C442 SPROUGHTON ROAD AND B1067 BRAMFORD ROAD, SPROUGHTON AND IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C442 Sproughton Road, Sproughton from Sproughton Road roundabout to Farthing Road to facilitate duct and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Sproughton Road, the B1067, the A1214, the A14, Sproughton Road and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1067 Bramford Road, Ipswich.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 10/09/2025 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U7420 Folly Lane, Lawshall from 327 metres south of Brands Lane for 150 metres southbound to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brands Lane, Bury Road, Golden Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 12/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE A1021 BEATRICE AVENUE, THE U3118 DELWOOD AVENUE AND THE U3117 FAIRFIELD AVENUE, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. the A1021 Beatrice Avenue, Felixstowe from the junction with High Road East for 183 metres northbound

  2. the U3118 Delwood Avenue, Felixstowe at the junction with the A1021 Beatrice Avenue

  3. the U3117 Fairfield Avenue, Felixstowe at the junction with the A1021 Beatrice Avenue.

This is to facilitate gas main replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. the A1021, the A154, the A1021 and vice versa

  2. Fleetwood Avenue, High Road East and vice versa

  3. Glenfield Avenue, High Road West and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from 08/09/2025 - 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • the B1113 Needham Road, Stowmarket from Needham Road to Cedars Park Roundabout, Stowmarket to Badley Lane, Badley

  • the B1113 Stowmarket Road, Badley

  • the B1113 Badley Hill, Badley from Badley Lane for 325 metres south eastbound.

This is to facilitate lining and associated works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1113, the B1078, the B1115, the A1308 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 - 10/09/2025 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

This is to facilitate fibre installation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Elmswell Road, Main Road, Westley Way, The Street, Ixworth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 – 07/10/2025, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. U3809 Broad Street, Orford from the junction with Church Street to the junction with Castle Hill

  2. U3808 Burnt Lane, Orford from the junction with High Street to Kiln Cottage.

This is to facilitate fibre network installations. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Castle Hill, Castle Terrace, Market Hill, Church Street and vice versa

  2. Daphne Road, Church Street, High Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  1. 08/09/2025 – 19/09/2025

  2. 15/09/2025 – 17/09/2025

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

  • A1071 Back Road, Hintlesham

  • A1071 Wilderness Hill, Hintlesham.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1071, the A1214, the A12, the A1341, the A134, the A1071 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 08/09/2025 – 13/09/2025 with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Church Road, The Green, Norton Road the road near Ticehurst Farm and vice versa

  2. Woolpit Road, Heath Road, Norton Road, The Green and vice versa

  3. The road near Ticehurst Farm, New Road, Church Road, Woolpit Road, Heath Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  1. 08/09/2025 – 17/09/2025

  2. 18/09/2025 – 08/10/2025

  3. 09/10/2025 – 29/10/2025

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  1. C450 Leather Bottle Hill, Little Blakenham from no. 8 to Red House

  2. U4410 Valley Road, Little Blakenham from the junction with Leather Bottle Hill to Lukes Meadow.

This is to facilitate tree trimming and overhead cable renewal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Leather Bottle Hill, Somersham Road, Bramford, the B1113, Grimstead Hill, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road, Willisham, Willisham Hall Road, Ipswich Road, Main Road, Nettlestead, Main Road, Somersham, Somersham Road, Little Blakenham and vice versa

  2. Valley Road, Hall Lane, Main Road, Somersham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 08/09/2025 from 9am – 2.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF

The diversion route will be Woodlands Road, Raydon Road, Clay Hill, Duke Street, Pond Hall Road, Station Road, the B1070 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1070 Benton Street, Hadleigh from the junction with Station Road to the B1070 Upper Street, Layham at the junction with Higham Road, Raydon.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 09/09/2025 from 9.30am – 4pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
