What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
A25 High Street & A25 Maidstone Road, Seal, TN15 0BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the refreshment of all road markings, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A25 High Street and A25 Maidstone Road, Seal, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 4 nights between 21.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Pillar Box Lane and Park Lane.
The alternative route is via A25 Seal Road, A225 Otford Road, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Station Road, A225 Shoreham Road, A225 Station Road, A225 High Street, A225 Eynsford Road, A20 London Road, A20 Gorse Hill, A20 London Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Western Road, A25 Borough Green Road, A25 Ightham Bypass, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, BR8 8DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Fathings.
The alternative route is via Beechenlea Lane, B2173 London Road/High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill, Swanley Village Road and vice versa.
Blackhall Lane, Godden Green, TN15 0HU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because fencing is to be replaced along the roadside border, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blackhall Lane, Godden Green, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Godden House.
The alternative route is via Park Lane, A25 High Street, B2019 Seal Hollow Road, Blackhall Lane and vice versa.
Brasted Hill Road & Rectory Lane, Brasted (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of access to BT boxes for desilting and gully sucking, clearing blockages and cabling, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brasted Hill Road and Rectory Lane, Brasted, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between St Martins Meadow and A25 High Street.
The alternative route is via Brasted Hill Road, Brasted Hill, Pilgrims Way, Hogtrough Hill, Station Road, Church Road, A25 High Street and vice versa.
Dibden Lane, Sevenoaks. TN13 2PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of tree works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Dibden Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 4 days between 09.30hs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Oak Lane and Dibden Farm.
The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Brittains Lane, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 London Road Roundabout/The Square/Worships Hill, B2042 Cold Arbor Road and vice versa.
Durant Road, Hextable. BR8 7SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Durant Road, Hextable, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 34.
The alternative route is via Lower Road, Bower Road and vice versa.
Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, TN16 1SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole testing, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, on or after 9th September 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Squerryes Farm Cottages.
The alternative route is via Goodley Stock Road, A25 High Street/Market Square/Vicarage Hill/Quebec Square, B2026 Hosey Hill/Hosey Common Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road and vice versa.
High Street, Shoreham, TN14 7TP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Shoreham, on or after 9th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 78.
The alternative route is via High Street, Church Street, Station Road, A225 Shoreham Road, Castle Road, Redmans Lane, Castle Farm Road and vice versa.
Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, DA4 9DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has to made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holmesdale Hill, South Darenth, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Gills Road.
The alternative route is via Holmesdale Hill, Shrubbery Road, East Hill, Rabbits Road, Pinden, Canada Farm Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, St Margarets Road and vice versa.
Honeypot Lane, Edenbridge, TN8 6QJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Honeypot Lane, Edenbridge, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 10 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Hilders Lane and Grants Lane.
The alternative route is via Little Browns Lane, Crouch House Road, Lingfield Road, Haxted Road, Dwelly Lane, Honeypot Lane and vice versa.
Main Road, Knockholt, TN14 7NT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Main Road, Knockholt, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Brambly Hedge and The Coppice.
The alternative route is via Main Road, Cudham Lane South, Cudham Lane North, A21 Sevenoaks Road, Rushmore Hill, Main Road and vice versa.
Pembroke Road, Sevenoaks. TN13 9ZY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of the installation of traffic management to facilitate the erection of a tower crane, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pembroke Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 27th September 2025 for up to 2 days between 07.00hrs and 19.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
To allow for unforeseen events and poor weather the closure is requested to cover three weekends.
Weekend closures:
27th & 28th September 2025
4th & 5th October 2025
18th & 19th October 2025
The road will be closed outside number 9.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road, A225 St Johns Hill. A225 Dartford Road, A225 High Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will not be maintained during the works.
The diversion route is via A225 High Street, Bank Street, A224 London Road.
Scabharbour Road, Sevenoaks Weald, TN14 6NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scabharbour Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 11th September 2025 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Mount Pleasant Road and Egg Pie Lane.
The alternative route is via Scabharbour Road, Glebe Road, Windmill Road, Long Barn Road, Hale Oak Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Camp Hill, Coppings Road and vice versa.
