What is happening?
D3680 Blackhorse Road, Brookwood – Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 On 03 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3680 Blackhorse Road, Brookwood – Woking that extends from its junction with D3680 Saunders Lane, to the north-eastern property boundary of “Clearwood House”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited/BT Openreach to carry out excavations for a new telegraph pole/s and/or telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out overhead cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Blackhorse Road, Heath House Road, Bagshot Road and Brookwood Lye Road. Windsor Road Access to Chobham Rugby Club (D38) Chobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 On 29 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Windsor Road Access to Chobham Rugby Club (D38) as extends from the access for Chobham Rugby Club to the access for the property known as “48 Windsor Road”. Alternative Route – B383 (Windsor Road). This Order is required to enable Squire Energy Ltd to facilitate low voltage cable works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2025 for 2 weeks, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet as extends from the northern boundary of the property known as “59 Camphill Road” to its junction with Leisure Lane (X68308). Alternative Route – Scotland Bridge Road, B385 (Woodham Lane) and A245 (Sheerwater Road and Old Woking Road), or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable Leep Utilities to facilitate high voltage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 October 2025 for 4 weeks, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained at all times to properties within the closure as well as for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. Whitmoor Lane (D3707) Sutton Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2025 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Whitmoor Lane (D3707) Sutton Green as extends from its junction with (A320) Guildford Road and for a distance of 70 metres in a southerly direction; (b) prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Whitmoor Lane (D3707) Sutton Green as extends from its junction with (A320) Guildford Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Staleigh Manor”; (c) Suspend “Woking Borough Council” “Borough Council of Woking (Whitmoor Lane and Guildford Road (A320) Sutton Green) (Regulations of Traffic) Order 1994” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Woking Road, Clay Lane, Blanchards Hill, and Whitmoor Lane, or this route in reverse. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate excavation of the carriageway to enable new electrical connection works for, on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers Ltd/ UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 03 October 2025. This temporary closure and restriction, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for residents will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, all other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the diversion route. For sub-paragraphs (b) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
