Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
A20 Ashford Road, Bearsted, ME15 8PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Ashford Road, Bearsted, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Paydens Pharmacy. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Cavendish Way and vice versa.
A249 Detling Hill (Southbound), Detling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A249 Detling Hill Southbound, Detling, on or after 27th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
A249 Detling Hill southbound carriageway will be closed from the junction with Scragged Oak Road to the junction with Jades Crossing. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

B2010 Smiths Hill, West Farleigh, ME15 0PQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2010 Smiths Hill, West Farleigh, on or after 14th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Bimbury Lane, Stockbury ME9 7QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bimbury Lane, Stockbury, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Yelsted Road to property number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Bimbury Lane, Yelsted Road, Lower Hartlip Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, A2 London Road, A2 High Street, A2 Keycol Hill, Key Street Roundabout, A249 Key Street Slip Southbound on, A249 From J A2 to M2 off slip S, A249 from M2 J5 off slip to end of Stockbury slip on S, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Aerodrome Approach (Service Road), Bimbury Lane.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Bimbury Lane, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 from J M2 J5 on slip to J A2 N, A249 J A2 Leave N, Key Street Roundabout, A2 Keycol Hill, A2 High Street, A2 London Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, Lower Hartlip Road, Yelsted Road, Bimbury Lane.
Church Hill, Stockbury ME9 7QH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill, Stockbury, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of A249 Sittingbourne Road to the junction with Church Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Church Lane, Hill Green Road, South Street Road, Chalky Road, A249 Sittingbourne Road and Church Hill.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A249 Sittingbourne Road, Stockbury Roundabout, A249 Sittingbourne Road Slip on Join S, Maidstone, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Chalky Road, South Street Road, Hill Green Road and Church Lane.
Church Road, Harrietsham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow railway bridge repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Harrietsham, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Road, Marley Road, Dickley Lane, A20 Ashford Road and vice versa.
Forge Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named The Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Haste Hill Road, Boughton Monchelsea ME17 4LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Haste Hill Road, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 53. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Haste Hill Road, The Green, Church Street, B2163 Heath Road, Hubbards Lane and vice versa.
Headcorn Road, Platts Heath, ME17 2NY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Headcorn Road, Platts Heath, on or after 10th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road, Crumps Lane, Ulcombe Road, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road and vice versa.
Hospital Road, Hollingbourne (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow underbridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hospital Road, Hollingbourne, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of M20 motorway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 12:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Greenway Court Road and vice versa.
Park Avenue, Maidstone ME14 5AX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Avenue, Maidstone, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Hatherall Road to the junction with Tudor Avenue. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Avenue, Wheeler Street, Holland Road, A249 Sittingbourne Road, Tudor Avenue and vice versa.
South Street, Barming, ME15 0LB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Street, Barming, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 1 night between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn, TN27 9JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tattlebury Lane, Headcorn, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Meadow View Barn. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tattlebury Lane, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Mill Bank, Kings Road, Ulcombe Road, Tattlebury Lane and vice versa.
Week Street, Maidstone, ME14 1ED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow for remedial works to Primark to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Week Street, Maidstone, on or after 14th September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of Union Street and the junction with Earl Street, between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
