THE OLDHAM - GRIMSHAW LANE & FOXDENTON LANE
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2025

The Oldham Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Grimshaw Lane from a point 25 metres northeast of its junction with Broadgate for a distance of 100 metres in a southeasterly direction continuing onto Foxdenton Lane to its junction with Cobalt Way. The alternative route will be via Lydia Becker A663 Broadway, Broadgate & Grimshaw Lane.

The Order is to be made to allow Chevron TM to carry out lift bridge repairs and will be in force for 2 weeks from 8th September 2025, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
