Dartford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

A296 Princes Road, Dartford. DA2 6EF (BUS LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow Openreach to renew/raise/lower a frame and cover, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the westbound bus lane on part of A296 Princes Road, Dartford, on or after 25th September 2025 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The westbound bus lane will be suspended between numbers 625 and 649.

 

B255 Whitehill Road, Longfield, DA3 7QS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new connection to a SEW main, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B255 Whitehill Road, Longfield, on or after 8th September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Northdown Road.

The alternative route is via B255 Whitehill Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, B262 Sandbanks Hill, B255 Highcross Road and vice versa.

 

Shirehall Road, Hawley. DA2 7SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shirehall Road, Hawley, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 166.

The alternative route is via Shirehall Road, A225 Hawley Road, B258 Church Hill/High Road/Barn End Lane and vice versa.
