Canterbury, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

CANTERBURY AREA

Clover Rise, Whitstable, CT5 3HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Clover Rise, Whitstable, from 22nd September 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 79, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clover Rise, Grasmere Road, Virginia Road, South Street, Millstrood Road, A2990 Thanet Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grove Road, Wickhambreaux, CT3 4BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grove Road, Wickhambreaux from 10th September 2025, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Grove Ferry Road and Wickham Court Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Preston Lane, Preston Road, Hearts Delight Lane, Preston Hill, A257 High Street, Canterbury Road, Wingham Road, High Street, Nargate Street, Wickham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Grove Road, Wickhambreaux, CT3 4BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Grove Road, Wickhambreaux from 24th September 2025, with estimated completion by 26th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction with Grove Ferry Road and Ivy House Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Grove Road, The Street, Preston Lane, Preston Road, Preston Hill, A257 High Street, Canterbury Road, Wingham Road, High Street, Nargate Street, Wickham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Station Road, Adisham, CT3 3JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER SEPTEMBER 2025

To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Station Road, Adisham from 25th September 2025, with estimated completion by 26th September 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with B2046 Adisham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, High Street (Wingham), A257 Canterbury Road, Wingham Road, High Street (Littlebourne), Bekesbourne Lane, Station Road, School Lane, Chalkpit Hill, Adisham Road, Adisham Downs Road, Pond Hill, Station Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
