Somerset Council Parish of Timberscombe Temporary Closure of Dunster To Timberscombe Road due to pole replacement works

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended, propose to make an Order
prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along
Dunster To Timberscombe Road - from the
junction with Orchard Way to the junction with
Clouds Steep. A total distance of 324 metres.
This Order will enable Openreach to renew poles.
The Order becomes effective on 19th September
2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 13rd
September 2025 and last until 23rd September
2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to
be executed on or near the road; or b) because
of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of
serious damage to the road, which is not
attributable to such works.
