Somerset Council Parish of Stogumber Temporary Closure of The Knoll due to fibre cable connection

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended, have made an Order
prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along
The Knoll - from the junction with Vellow Road to
the junction with Hill Street To Kingswood
junction. A total distance of 409 metres. This Order will enable Airband Community
Internet Ltd to carry out fibre cable connection
works. The Order becomes effective on
5th September 2025 and will remain in force for
18 months. The works are expected to
commence on 8th September 2025 and last until
8th September 2025 between the hours of

a) because works are being or are proposed to
be executed on or near the road; or b) because
of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of
serious damage to the road, which is not
