Somerset Council Parish of Dulverton Temporary Closure of Higher Combe To Mounsey Hill Gate and Higher Combe Drive due to signing works

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended, have made an Order
prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Higher
Combe To Mounsey Hill Gate - from 1247 metres
south east of the junction with Marsh Hill, south-
eastwards incorporating Higher Combe Drive for
a total distance of 129 metres. This Order will
enable Kier to carry out signing works on behalf
of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 5th September
2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on
8th September 2025 and last until 12th September
2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to
be executed on or near the road; or b) because
of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of
serious damage to the road, which is not
attributable to such works.
