Suffolk, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE C917 GISLEHAM ROAD, GISLEHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C917 Gisleham Road, Gisleham from the junction with Church Road for 130 metres northbound to facilitate pole testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rushmere Road, The Street, Lowestoft Road, Castleton Avenue, Bloodmoor Road, London Road, the A12 Kessingland, Snab Hill, the C917 from the C915 to the C916 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/08/2025 from 9.30am – 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U8418 THE GREEN, NEDGING WITH NAUGHTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8418 The Green, Nedging with Naughton from Ladys Cottage for 40 metres north eastbound to facilitate a new electrical service and pole installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Semer Road, Nedging With Naughton, Semer Road, Whatfield, The Green, Whatfield, The Street, Naughton Road, New Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/08/2025 from 8am – 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE C450 MAIN ROAD, SOMERSHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C450 Main Road, Somersham from Old School House to Wood Lane to facilitate water stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Somersham Road, Little Blakenham, Blakenham, Leather Bottle Hill, Somersham Road, Bramford, the B1113, Grinstead Hill, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road, Willisham, Willisham Hall Road, Vale Road, Main Road, Nettlesead and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/08/2025 – 29/08/2025 from 10am – 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
