Somerset Council Parish of Luccombe Temporary Closure of Church Gate To Manor House Gateway due to Stop Tap renewal

What is happening?

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended, propose to make an Order
prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Church
Gate To Manor House Gateway - from the junction
with Brakeley Steps To Luccombe, southwards for a
total distance of 141 metres. This Order will enable
Wessex Water to renew stop tap. The Order becomes effective on 19th September
2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The
works are expected to commence on 22nd
September 2025 and last until 24th September 2025
between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of

a) because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the road; or b) because of the
likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious
damage to the road, which is not attributable to such
works.
