(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Network Rail to carry out civil engineering works to a railway structure in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 24th September 2025 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.
It is anticipated that the works will take 1 night to complete between the hours of 11pm and 6am.
SCHEDULE
The Parade will be closed at a point 45m west of its junction with Cribbs Row in an easterly direction for a distance of 30m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic travelling east will be Via Commercial Street, The Green, Milland Road, Nelson Mandella Way, Windsor Road and The Parade.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic travelling west will be via The Parade, Croft Road, Riverside Drive, Gnoll Park Road St Davids Road Orchard Street, London Road, Alford Road and Nelson Mandella Way West bound and Milland Road.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained
