Brindle Road, Bamber Bridge - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER (5) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Brindle Road, Bamber Bridge from a point 85 metres north east of its junction with Brindle Court for a distance of 55 metres in a north easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative on Monday 15th September 2025 from 0930 hours until 1530 hours or until completion of the works within this period. Access for emergency services will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Brindle Road – Collins Road – B6258 Station Road – A6 Lostock Lane – A6 Church Road – Walton Summit Road – Brierley Road – Kellet Lane – Brindle Road and vice versa
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility repairs on a manhole frame and cover.
