What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
DURTON LANE, BROUGHTON, PRESTON CITY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to wait or load or unload at any time over that length of Durton Lane, Broughton from outside of Church Hill Cottage Farm for approximately 50 metres in an easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0900 hours on Thursday 11th September 2025 until 0900 hours on Friday 11th September 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow unrestricted access for construction traffic along Durton Lane.
