Notice of Making Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 North Somerset Council Portishead (Off-Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2025 Ref: OSPP/DB/2505.

Notice is hereby given that on the 21st August 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to implement parking charges to the Roath Road Car Park in Portishead.

The order comes into operation on the 29th August 2025 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the council's statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at https://n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/parking-travel-roads/roads-streets/comment-traffic-regulation-orders-tros.

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Down Road, Portishead, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists.

Date coming into force: 29th September 2025 Ref: T25-27

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 29th September 2025, anticipated to be of 2 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Down Road from Junction with Charlcombe Rise to Junction with Nore Road.

Alternative routes - Down Road, Weatherly Drive, Valley Road, Clevedon Road, Walton Street, Walton Down, Coast Road, Walton Bay.

Clevedon Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists.

Date coming into force: 1st October 2025 Ref: T25-36

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 1st October 2025, anticipated to be of 3 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule - Clevedon Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, entire extents from junction with Clapton Lane to junction with Harley Lane.

Alternative routes - Harley Lane, Moor Lane, Clevedon Road, Clapton Lane and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - Section 14(1) Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,

As amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Strode Road, Clevedon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 8th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-062

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide underground service.

This order will become operative on the 8th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Nailsea Wall, Kenn, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 8th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-063

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to reline sewer to restore service.

This order will become operative on the 8th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Nailsea Wall-just after bridge entrance to farmers field, outside Wild Orchard.

Youngwood Lane, Nailsea, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 9th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-064

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect new water supply.

This order will become operative on the 9th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Youngwood Lane outside Youngwood Cottage.

Jasmine Lane, Claverham, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 8th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-065

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to install pole and cabling works.

This order will become operative on the 8th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Upper Myrtle Hill, Pill, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 11th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-069

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for fibre cable works.

This order will become operative on the 11th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Upper Myrtle Hill outside Fern House, from junction of New Road heading southbound for approximately 25m.

High Street, Wrington, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025.

Date coming into Force: 8th September 2025. Ref: SW25.26-094

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide a safe working area for engineers to access existing telegraph pole(s) to provide fibre overhead cabling for a customer.

This order will become operative on the 8th September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
